The VALORANT Champions 2026 playoffs delivered two major eliminations on October 11. 100 Thieves knocked out defending champions NRG, while G2 Esports eliminated T1 in Shanghai.

Both winners advanced in the lower bracket. Their victories kept their championship hopes alive and ended the campaigns of two major contenders.

100 Thieves End NRG’s Title Defence
100 Thieves defeated NRG 2–0 in their lower-bracket match. The result ended NRG’s bid to defend their VALORANT Champions title.

NRG had entered the tournament as the reigning champions. However, their loss to LOUD on October 10 pushed them into the elimination bracket. The defeat to 100 Thieves then brought their campaign to an end.

For 100 Thieves, the victory delivered another important step towards the tournament final.

G2 Esports Eliminate T1 in Three Maps
G2 Esports also secured a place in the next round after beating T1 (2–1).

The series went to three maps, with both teams fighting to stay in the competition. G2 eventually secured the deciding map and ended T1’s run at Champions Shanghai.

The result kept G2 in contention for the title. It also ended T1’s campaign after a difficult lower-bracket match.

What happens next?
The victories set up a lower-bracket clash between 100 Thieves and G2 Esports. The winner will move closer to the grand final, while the loser will leave the tournament.

With NRG and T1 eliminated, the remaining teams have a fresh opportunity to claim the VALORANT Champions 2026 title.

The tournament continues in Shanghai, with the grand final scheduled for October 18.
